What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy utilizes deep relaxation and highly focused awareness to access the subconscious mind to bring to awareness that which is unconscious. This allows for the transformation of self-limiting beliefs, self-sabotaging behaviors, and energetic blocks to be recognized. Together we identify the initiating experience and provide the opportunity to fully process and release the stored emotions. Then I support you as you choose new beliefs and behaviors that align with your highest good.
What is Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy®?
Unlike other forms of hypnotherapy, Heart-Centered-Hypnotherapy approaches therapy from a deeply caring and dynamically healing perspective. Heart-Centered therapists are highly trained and embrace the concepts of self-determination and the belief that every client contains, deeply within their own subconscious mind, the key to their own individual health and healing. Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy works in the subconscious mind where our long-term memory, emotions, relationships, habits, addictive patterns, and intuition are stored. It is not the therapist, but the subconscious mind of the client which guides the sessions. During sessions, I allow the client’s subconscious mind to determine where the deepest healing needs to take place.
What happens during a hypnotherapy session?
A typical session lasts from 90 minutes to two hours and begins with identifying a problem area that you would like to work on. Meditative talk, tranquil music, and peaceful guided imagery lead you into a deep state of relaxation where you can go back in time to the source of your presenting problem and discover past connections to current issues and blocks. This allows for new, healthier beliefs and decisions to take root. Old unexpressed emotions can be felt, expressed, and released. In Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy clients are always in control and aware of their surroundings and fully participate in the process. Clients report feeling clearer about their past and more empowered in regard to their present and future.
Can anyone undergo hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis/hypnotherapy may not be appropriate for people with severe mental health issues, such as psychotic symptoms, including hallucinations and delusions. It might also be inappropriate for someone who uses drugs or alcohol.
Are there any risks?
During hypnotherapy, you are fully aware and more suggestible. You are always in control during the sessions and we can always stop the sessions by bringing you out of the trance state, which is a slower brain frequency similar to a mediative state.
Do I have to schedule an intake session?
Regardless of the service you wish to schedule, every client must complete an intake session to establish rapport and identify goals for treatment/services. Prior to scheduling an intake, many clients prefer a 15-minute consultation phone call. If you would like to schedule, please contact me directly at davenport.ayesha@gmail.com.
